What we collect
The report tool runs entirely in your browser; nothing you type is transmitted by the page. If you email us a report or message, we receive your email address, name if given, and the content. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) for security and troubleshooting.
Why and on what basis
We use emailed reports to verify and publish beach information (legitimate interests) and to reply to you. Server logs are kept for security (legitimate interests). Optional preferences are stored only with your consent, as described in our cookie notes.
How long we keep it
Emails are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted unless an ongoing conversation needs them. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Published quotes from reports never include your email address.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with service providers who host the site and our email, under contract, or where the law requires.
Your rights
