How the Almanac Is Kept
Kivaroroundupp is a small, independent surf almanac written from the Cornish coast for local and weekend surfers everywhere.
One ordered read
Surf information is scattered: forecasts in one app, tide tables in another, contest calls on social feeds, beach rules on a sign you only read after parking. We gather the pieces into a single page you read top to bottom, the way an old almanac set the year out in order. News first, then beaches, then spots, then the calendar.
Monday to Friday on the line
Wire notes
Tide cycles, safety campaigns and venue news, dated and short.
Beach checks
Parking, patrols and rips reviewed against lifeguard and council notices.
Spot roundup
Breaks re-ranked by mood ahead of the weekend.
Where facts come from
We rely on public, checkable sources: official tide tables from the UK Hydrographic Office and NOAA, lifeguard guidance from the RNLI and Surf Life Saving Australia, programme pages such as Shark Spotters and the Save The Waves Coalition, and official contest organisers. Local beach reports from readers add colour, but we confirm safety details before publishing them.
Nobody buys a place on the line
We are not affiliated with the World Surf League, the ISA, any surf brand, any surf school or any lifeguard service. We accept no paid placements in news, guides or roundups. If that ever changes for a sponsored feature, it will be labelled clearly at the top.
When the sand moves
Beaches change and we get things wrong. Send corrections to [email protected] or through the report tool. Safety corrections are handled first and noted with a date at the foot of the entry.
